Mooi weer, mooie omgeving, mooi spel, mooi resultaat.

Het was een wedstrijd met veel eerste maals, scores, leidingwissels. Maarten maakte zijn eerste try, maar haalde ook zijn eerste gele kaart 'op de hals'. Zowel Kituro als wij scoorden 3 tries. Beide ploegen stonden minstens 2 maal aan de leiding gedurende de wedstrijd.

Het begin verliep wat moeilijk: we kwamen vrij snel een try achter, maar een mooie try van Maarten en uitstekend kick-werk van Roel (I love the goalposts) was het snel weer 10-8. Een onoplettendheid in de verdediging maakte dat we toch met 15-10 achterstand de rust in gegaan.

Een penalty en een try van Tim later stonden de bordjes op 15-20, maar weer kwam Kituro terug tot 20-20. Een mooi uitgespeelde aanval bracht jeugdherinneringen terug bij 'winger' Deezy, in zijn jonge jaren nog full-back van onze ploeg. Alweer een mooie kick later (Roel had een sans faute gisteren) was de kloof geslagen: 20-30. In de slotseconden stond Kituro weer op onze trylijn, een penality maakte de eindscore milder voor hen: een bonuspunt, een kleinood dat ons dit seizoen blijft ontglippen.

Een goede prestatie die ruikt naar meer...

 Nice weather, nice pitch, good play and good result. 

It was a game with a lot of 'first times', tries and lead changes: Maarten made his first try, but also his first yellow, both parties had the lead at least twice in the match and both parties scored 3 tries.

The start was a bit difficult: a try and a penalty against.  Maarten with his first try and some good kicking by Roel (I love the goalposts) put Leuven in the lead 8-10. A lapse of attention allowed Kituro to bring the half way score to 15-10.

Another penalty from Roel and a converted try of Tim put Leuven back in the lead: 15-20. Still Kituro came back with a try to 20-20. A nice attack brought some memories back to 'winger' Deezy, who used to be the fullback of the team as a youngster. Another nice kick, Roel had a flawless day, put us out of reach at 20-30. A last minute penalty gave Kituro the bonus point, something that is eluding us this season.
