De Belgische Staf van de rugby 7s heeft de namen voor volgend weekend doorgegeven van de spelers die deelnemen aan de 4de manche van het Europees Circuit 7s te ODESSA (Oekraïne). De Belgische selectie bevat enkele anciens van Leuven.

Ons moeder werd als vanouds op en naast het rugbyveld gevierd, vorige zondag. Na 2 edities keerden we terug naar onze vertrouwde stek op de rugbykalender, en de bezoeker heeft die beslissing niet afgekeurd : Het nieuwe terras, nee, de hele site stond eivol spelers en supporters, onder een voorzichtig lentezonnetje. Turnhout slaagde er in de voorrondes bvb in de latere winnaar te verslaan. Een definitieve einduitslag volgt later; we volstaan voorlopig met een hulde aan de winnaars, Mephisto; een gelegenheidsteam gesponsord door een Leuvens staminee en samengesteld rond enkele (ex-)Leuvense spelers, dat Asub in de finale oververdiend klopte.  |

Our home based invitation team, the Mephisto loco's, won the RCL 7s 2010 edition, beating ASUB Waterloo, Belgian 7s & 15s champs, in a stunning, stirring, thrilling 'till the end final. Pictures on www.photorugby.eu & RCL site. Thx to all for this beautiful event !! LL. |
