Belgium is, indeed, a small (rugby) country. But, in the heart of Europe, within a stone’s throw away from your home country, wherever you’re from, fluent in English and French (though not flawless, of course ;-)), we’d like to think that we, Belgians, have all it takes to host your touring rugby teams. And, within Belgium, Leuven and its rugby club is just the perfect host!  

Leuven is an historic town on 30 k from Brussels, very near Brussels Airport (15 min by train or car). It holds the largest student community in Belgium which gives the old town a boast of youthful liveliness and energy, both day ánd night. (www.Leuven.be). The rugby clubs that visited us in the past did like, not to our surprise, the open-all-night policy of bars and clubs in our town. 

As Leuven is also the home of beer maker Inbev, a visit to the brewery of Stella Artois is highly recommended : www.brouwerijbezoeken.be. Our rugby club may still be rather average in size and level, it is cosy, young, ambitious and keen to grow and learn. AND we have an accommodation which is the envy of many Belgian rugby club: 2 rugby fields, 2 sets of dressing rooms, and a large clubhouse. And only a 10 min drive away from the pleasant historic city centre of Leuven!

And, finally, each year, in the month of may, we organise a enjoyabel, sunny sevenstournament! A weekend, very near but still abroad, of fun, pleasure, rugby, and, who knows, culture. Well, that’s us.
